The Head of Broker is responsible for leading and expanding the company’s insurance business through local broker channels. This role drives strategic partnerships, revenue growth, and market penetration while ensuring strong broker relationships and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities;
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive local broker distribution strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives, while leading and mentoring the broker sales team to deliver sustainable growth.
- Broker Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key local brokers and intermediaries by acting as the primary point of contact for strategic partners. Drive engagement through regular communication, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements including commission structures and service standards, and implement initiatives that enhance broker loyalty and productivity.
- Business Development & Sales Growth: Drive premium growth and profitability through the broker channel by setting clear sales targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Product & Portfolio Management: Provide strategic input into product development to ensure offerings meet broker and client needs, while maintaining a balanced and profitable portfolio.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all broker-related activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies while driving operational efficiency and service excellence. Continuously improve processes to enhance the broker and customer experience and partner.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders including underwriting, claims, finance, and marketing to ensure alignment and seamless execution of broker strategies. Provide regular performance updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, and represent the company in external industry events to strengthen market presence and relationships.
What we would like you to have...
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in non-life insurance, with strong exposure to broker/channel management.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth through broker networks.
- Deep understanding of local insurance market practices and regulations.
- Experience in leading and managing high-performing teams.
- Good command of English.
