As an Accounting and Finance Manager each day, you will...

  • Work closely with regional and country management to undertake the function of a key finance & accounting leader of Company, in the interest of the Company and in accordance with the Company purpose and objectives and in good faith.
  • Handle and monitor the company cashflow management to ensure actual vs projection numbers are managed and tracked.
  • Forecasting that align with production pipelines, commissions and overall impacts on brokers financial positions.
  • Create Financial Reporting PL/BS/CF versioning and tracking Regulatory liaison in accordance with OJK requirements.
  • Oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, closing activities, and reconciliation reports.
  • Process Collection/Aging, track receivables, create aging report to sync with productions data.
  • Manage and monitor tax reporting.
  • Ensure and monitor the accuracy and timeliness of OJK submission, GST filing, Tax returns & etc.
  • Drive the annual planning process with the Board including annual budgeting and forecasting processes with the business teams.
  • Attend ad-hoc assignments that may be required from time-to-time and manage to plan and resolve matters in relation to finance & accounting.
  • Lead, mentor, advise, and support the finance & accounting team with regard to the work deliverables and personal development goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master level degrees in Finance or Accounting Degree (professional certifications like the ACCA, CFA, CPA, or CA are useful).
  • Experienced 5-7 years managing finance/accounting for insurance broker.
  • Industry background in Insurance Broker/Insurance company/Insurtech startup (preferably from a fast-paced environment).
  • Has practical experience in managing tax.
  • In-depth knowledge in accounting, local GAAP and IFRS.
  • Familiar with local laws and regulations; experience working with OJK.
  • Have a strong business operation skill.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Honest and professional work ethic.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills; experience in managing and building teams will be an advantage.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders and senior management with solid business knowledge and financial insights.
